Questions and project policies
What does Created Systems actually do?
Created Systems designs and builds custom business systems for established service businesses and emerging franchises: websites, operational apps, and full business operating systems that connect intake, clients, jobs, staff, and reporting. Every project starts with diagnosing how the business runs before any software gets built.
How is this different from hiring a developer?
A developer builds what you specify. Created Systems figures out what should be specified. I ran my own company for eleven years, after nine years in corporate operations, before building software, so the first conversation is about margins, handoffs, and staffing, not frameworks. The difference shows up when a requirement is wrong and someone catches it before it ships.
How much does a custom business system cost?
Website builds and redesigns start at $1,000. Operational apps that replace a spreadsheet or a manual process start around $3,000. Full business operating systems begin in the five figures and are scoped individually, because the price depends on how many parts of the operation the system has to hold. You get a fixed scope and a fixed number before work starts.
How long does a project take?
Websites typically run a few weeks. Operational apps run one to three months. Business operating systems are built in stages over several months, with each stage usable when it lands. Timelines are given in good faith after diagnosis, not before.
What happens if the timeline changes?
Discovery happens during the build, not only before it. If something is found that changes the work (a process that turns out to be three processes, or a system that does not integrate the way its documentation claims), you hear about it when it is found, you hear what it costs in time, and the window gets updated. You will not find out at the deadline.
Do I own what you build?
You own your data, your content, and your business logic, always. Some builds run on infrastructure I host and maintain; others are handed over entirely to you. Which one applies is written into the proposal before you sign, in plain language, so ownership is never a surprise later.
How do payments work?
A 50% deposit starts the work. Smaller projects settle the balance at delivery. Larger builds are split into milestone payments tied to stages you can see and use. Third-party costs such as hosting, email, SMS and payment processing are covered inside a single monthly hosting fee for systems I host, so you are not managing a stack of separate invoices.
How many revisions are included?
Website builds include one major round of revisions after the first full draft. Custom software includes two months of post-launch refinement: fixing what does not behave correctly and adjusting what the team hits friction on. New features requested after launch are scoped and quoted separately.
What do you need from me during the project?
Access to how the business really works, honest answers about what is broken, and feedback within five business days at each review point. Projects stall on feedback far more often than on code. If you go quiet, the project pauses and re-enters the schedule when you are ready.
Do you offer ongoing support after launch?
Yes. After the included refinement period, ongoing support runs on a monthly retainer covering maintenance, small changes, monitoring, and priority response. It is optional; some clients take the system and run it themselves, and the documentation is written so that works.
Do you work with businesses outside your area?
Yes. Created Systems is based in North Florida and works with clients nationwide. Diagnosis, architecture review, and build check-ins all happen on video. Nothing about this work requires being in the same room.
How do I know if my business is ready for this?
Revenue is not the test. Complexity is. If the business runs on spreadsheets plus memory, if the same information is entered in three places, if you are the only one who knows how things connect, or if growth is currently making things worse instead of better, the business is ready. Book a fifteen-minute systems call and you will get a straight answer either way.
Next step
Fifteen minutes. A straight answer.
Tell me how the business runs now and where it breaks. You will leave the call knowing whether a system is the right fix, what it would take, and roughly what it would cost, whether or not we work together.
